Farenheit 9/11 ... I loves my gun, loves my gun...

So, Jen (my sister, for those of us not paying attention thus far) gives me a call this past, Thursday? I missed her call, I think I might have actually been working, but of couse she left me a voicemail. It was short, real straight forward and right to the point. Micheal Moore made a new movie.

Lets take a step back. I'm rarely inspired. It's actually quite saddening. Nothing really gets my wheels turning, well not all that often. Excluding that which is exceptionally compiled, including some film/television/music/etc... When I saw Bowling for Columbine originally, I think I might of actually cried. It was honestly beautiful, dark and haunting, yet true. Oddly enough, shortly there after 9/11 occured and of course we went to war. By now, i'd become conscious of the idea of spin or misinformation. Not to say I don't believe anything i hear, thats not possible. If no one believed what anyone said, society would collapse. That'd be interesting though... Anywho, I refused to watch local coverage, even international media, CNN / MSNBC / FOXNEWS etc... when the war coverage began. So, I relied upon the Public Broadcasting System. First, let me say that PBS is American Tax dollars extremely well spent. Second, when it comes to International news, you really can't beat PBS, hands down. They show the actual coverage from around the world. Reporters asking actual questions, not accepting what the governments or military spins their way. Cheers to not having corporate sponsers.

So, www.michaelmoore.com I go. And, I watch the trailer for Farenheit 9/11... Ohhh man, while I'd stumbled across Bowling for Columbine on the blind, this i'm going to find in a theature. Actually, the funniest thing is that when i'd come to "acquire" Bowling for Columbine, i'd actually never heard of it. I watched it, i think i was eating some Wendy's when i did actually. I only remember it because I almost choked on a five piece nugget when the animated scene came on about America's history with guns. Anywho, when Jen got home, I sat down Reilly and Jen, and forced them to watch this film. Again, you can't believe all of it, you can't assume all of it to be true. Some of it is presented at an angle, to convey certain thoughts or emotions stronger than others. But it shines the light upon that which many care not to share. It's important to have opinions and discussions, to investigate and report. It is, you've got to present cookie cut information to these people, they've not got the attention span.

Back to Farenheit 9/11... You've got to watch the trailer, you've just got to. http://www.fahrenheit911.com/trailer/windows/large.php <-- There, right there, you've just got to click. The first line says it all, "You can make people do anything if they're afraid." Ohhh man, this is just going to be great. It's going to slap the average person in the face, and say "Wake up, they're fucking you and you're cheering for them."

Thats all for now, theres some more things i've got to handle at the moment around the new place, including but not limited to unpacking the kitchen and figuring what in my clothes boxes are clean or not.

p.s.- I need to find a decent and reliable dry cleaner on the west side, someone recommend one.
